Meet

hi, i’m kitty!

I’m a lifelong feminist and storyteller passionate about sharing feminist ideas across mediums and with people of all kinds.

Curious about what I’ve done? Here’s a glimpse:

As a journalist, I’ve had the opportunity to highlight the extraordinary lives and remarkable accomplishments of everyday women and girls in publications like Ms. magazine, the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Establishment, and HelloGiggles. I worked for years at the Feminist Majority Foundation in Los Angeles, and in that time I created Feminist Crush, a celebratory podcast featuring compelling conversations with trailblazing feminist artist-activists. During that time, I also taught emerging writers the craft of personal narrative at the Women’s Center for Creative Work, curating live storytelling events that gave women and non-binary folks space to share their voices and visions.

I hold a Master’s degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and I interned at Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital as part of my capstone thesis project. Before that, I was a Writing and Democracy Honors student at The New School in New York City where I earned a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts.

Next up? Your Feminist Friend—a feminist educational media company that engages everyday folks in critical conversations about feminism; empowers them to speak their minds; and inspires them to organize around issues they care about.

Let the revolution begin!

“A feminist is a person who believes in the power of women just as much as they believe in the power of anyone else."

Zendaya

“Feminism is not ‘women as victims’ but women refusing to be victims."

Gloria Steinem

“I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat."

Rebecca West
